My mum used to say "Momentum is my friend" and although she was speaking directly to the pain of grinding up a steep hill on our bikes, I think it applies nicely to being physically active throughout our entire lives. That comes through movement that you enjoy, so find what you enjoy so you can maintain momentum.

I move because:
I love this question and I think it's a really positive motivation tool for many of us to reflect back on. I move because I like the challenge (mental, physical and social), I move because it makes me feel empowered. I move because it helps me build a body that is going to age well, I move because it connects me to my partner and to a community.

Bachelor of Exercise Science - 2017

Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology - 2020

Further education in areas such as Parkinson's Disease, Gait retraining after neurological impairment and Functional Neurological Disorders
